Nolito has two years on his contract but is ready to head back to La Liga

Atletico Madrid and Celta Vigo are both interested in his current situation

Spain international Nolito is keen to leave Manchester City and wants to return to Spain after falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola.

Nolito took part in the Legends Game on Sunday which closed Atletico Madrid's Vicente Calderon and was then asked about his future.

“I’m crazy about returning [to Spain], but it depends on City," he said. "They [City] keep signing players, let’s see if they’ll let me leave easily.

"I hope I can leave, whether it's on loan, a transfer or whatever. I have several teams I’d prefer to join. I know Atletico, Celta... but they're things for my agent."

On a difficult season with Manchester City, he said: "Until December I was playing and I was happy. Throughout these last four months I've hardly played, now we will see what happens."

So what went wrong? "I don't know you, you have to ask Pep Guardiola. It's been a year to forget, an experience which has not gone as I expected, but you have to move on and see if we find a solution."

Nolito joined City last summer after several impressive seasons with Celta, turning down interest from a number of other teams to make the move.
