Louis van Gaal's Man United eye an unlikely move for Barcelona's Alba

Manchester United are keen on Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba. Louis van Gaal's side want to sign Alba this summer, according to reports in England, even though it is highly unlikely, even impossible, that the player from L'Hospitalet de Llobregat will leave the Catalan club. 

Alba, an undisputed starter on the left in Luis Enrique's treble winning team, is not thinking about leaving the club after an impressive season. He has only recently signed a new contract which keeps him at Barça until 2020. 

At the moment, he is in Japan taking charge of a football camp which carries his name. Jordi Alba is certain his future is with Barcelona, despite the rumours in England that United want to make a move for the Spain international.
