Louis van Gaal says it's up to Man United's board to sack him

Louis van Gaal says whether he is sacked or not is up to the Manchester United board.

Jose Mourinho is expected to replace the Dutch coach at the end of the season, with the Red Devils struggling to find their best form.

Man City have moved to seal Pep Guardiola's signature for next season and beyond, and United are said to be aiming to fight fire with fire.

"It's not a question of me, it's a question of the board of Manchester United, you have to put it to them," said Van Gaal at a press conference on Friday.

"I have a contract for three years and you know that."
