Liverpool interested in signing Real Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez
Liverpool are interested in bringing Real Sociedad centre-back Inigo Martinez to Anfield.
The 23-year-old defender was scouted by the Reds at the Camp Nou on Saturday, when his side went down 2-0 to Barcelona.
It was not a great performance by Martinez on an individual level, though Sociedad as a whole impressed.
Martinez was lucky not to give away a penalty for handball, and deflected Lionel Messi's cross into Neymar's path, for the opener. He was also left on the deck, like Jerome Boateng, by a quick Messi dribble.
He has a bright future ahead of him and it remains to be seen if that will be on Merseyside or not.
