Leicester will not be able to register their new signing Adrien Silva for the Premier League because they confirmed his signing 14 seconds after the Premier League deadline.
FIFA acknowledge that Leicester have the rights to the player, who was signed from Sporting Lisbon, and therefore must pay his salary. However, the €30 million signing won’t be able to play until January after his club missed the deadline for registering players.
Leicester have appealed to FIFA about the decision.
