Klopp's spoken for the first time since the transfer window closed

He says Dortmund and Liverpool are in very different situations

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has spoken for the first time about Philippe Coutinho after his failed move to Barcelona. Klopp now hopes to have the Brazilian, who he considers an important part of his squad, back in action.

“We still have a really good player in the squad who can play," was Klopp's immediate reaction in an interview with German channe SPORT1.

During a visit to his homeland to pay homage to Nikolce Noveski, Klopp also said that "we welcome back a genuinely great player" in reference to Coutinho before going onto explain the differences between Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, who sold Ousmane Dembele to Barça.

“Don't believe everything in the press or that there are offers here and there and that the minute after the offer has been entered, it should already be over," he said.

“We are not like George Orwell where everybody knows everything immediately. We have exactly the situation we wanted and no other.

“Dortmund decided the player (Dembele) would leave them, so I cannot compare the two situations. We continue to have a great player who can help us."
