The Man United coach would like to follow in Ferguson's footsteps

Mourinho says that he wants to be at United for 15 years

Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho says he wants to be like Sir Alex Ferguson, in staying at the club for a number of years. Mourinho spoke after the side beat Real Salt Lake in the International Champions Cup.

"I'm ready for the next 15 years I would say. Yes, why not?" he responded when asked about his long-term plans at the club. "This club, for so many years, was Sir Alex. The people got ued to him, they understand the great consequences of stability."

He added: "After David Moyes and Louis van Gaal, I enter my second year and I hope I can stay and bring the stability that the club wants."

However he acknowleged, all to ESPN, that this would be tough. "I have to admit that it is very difficult because of the pressure around our jobs, everybody putting pressure on managers and things that people say -- that we have to win, but in reality only one can win and every year it is getting more difficult," he added.

"But what I try to do in the club is show that my work goes further than the football results, that it goes to areas that people don't think of as a manager's job. In my vision, my job is much more than what I do on the pitch and the results that my team gets at the weekend."
