He stayed just 77 days in his role at Selhurst Park

The team lost all four games without scoring a single goal

Dutch coach Frank de Boer has been sacked as coach of Crystatl Palace after just 77 days in charge.

Palace lost all four Premier League games he took charge of and were not capable of scoring a single goal, something that has not happened since the creation of the league in 1992. Palace are in 19th place and their only victory came in the League Cup, against Ipswich Town.

"We want to thank Frank for his dedication and hard work during his time at the club," said the London side. "A new coach will be named in due couse and we wish Frank the best for the future."

Roy Hodgson is likely to be the man who takes the job.
