English press claim Man City want Luis Suarez

Luis Suarez is one of the players on Manchester City's agenda. The British press, the Daily Mirror, have reported on Sunday that the Barcelona striker is one of Pep Guardiola's targets for next season. 

It's information which conflicts with reports that Guardiola does not want to sign any Barça players. He is keen to avoid any institutional confrontation with the club he has previously played for and managed to great success. 

In addition to that, Suarez himself has repeated that he would not sign for an English club other than Liverpool. He's voiced his respect for his former club's fans and would not want to betray them by signing for another Premier League side.

Also, the English club already have Sergio Aguero playing in the position which best fits Barça's Uruguayan forward. 

The Daily Mirror claim that Guardiola's brother, Pere Guardiola, who is Suarez's agent, has already spoken with City, who are looking to strengthen the squad when Pep takes over from Manuel Pellegrini in the summer.
