David Silva will miss Real Madrid semi-finals second leg

Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that David Silva will miss the Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid.

The Manchester City midfielder was injured in the first leg and has a hamstring problem.

"He has a small hamstring injury and he'll need two or three weeks to recover," explained the Chilean coach. Asked when he might be able to return, Pellegrini added: "He'll be able to play the final."

Of Yaya Toure, who will miss the weekend's clash against Southampton, the coach added: "Yaya started working today, we saw the way he improved during the weekend and we'll see if he can be fit for Wednesday. At the moment we don't know."
