Chelsea want to sign Arda Turan from Barcelona next season

According to English newspaper The Metro, Chelsea want to sign Arda Turan for their new project next season. The Turkish player is well-liked by the Premier League side, who last season decided to sign for Barcelona. The Turk has received an offer from a Chinese side too, and in summer he may end up moving.

Antonio Conte, say the Metro, has given the thumbs up to the club to try and sign the player. Chelsea want to make it clear that he would be an essential part of the new side. They could pay Barcelona 40 million euros, the same which they gave Atletico for him. Arda's salary would also be increased. However, Chelsea will not be in next season's Champions League, and that could be a problem from a sporting perspective.
