Chelsea close in on hotly tipped Ajax starlet Richedly Bazoer
Chelsea are in a hurry to tie up the future of Dutch youngster Riechedly Bazoer. The London club have contacted Ajax to negotiate a price for one of their hottest prospects. The 19-year-old has been a sensation at the club. Chelsea are moving quickly because other clubs, like Barcelona, are monitoring Ajax stars.
Sporting director Robert Fernandez has been to watch them live recently, along with Frank de Boer. Bazoer leads a generation of youngsters with a great future, who need time to mature.
Bazoer stands out for his versatility, capable of plaing in the centre of defence or in midfield, and his progression in the last few months has been unstoppable. As well as De Boer, Marc Overmars has said he hopes to keep the footballer there one or two more seasons, but Chelsea want to pry him away.
He has a contract until 2020 after renewing last season, but sources in Holland say an offer of 20 million or more will be impossible for them to reject.
