Carlo Ancelotti needs operation and "doesn't know" how long it will take to recover

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti's future is set to be decided in the next few days. Despite AC Milan's interest in him, the Italian coach has inisted once again that he will "continue at Real Madrid or take a year off." And this time he has argued his point in an interview with Il Gironale: "I have stenosis in my neck. It will be a pleasure to receive [Adriano] Galliani in Madrid, but I have everything decided."

After ruling out a move back to Milan, Ancelotti revealed in the interview that he needs to have an operation. "I suffer from cervical stenosis," he continued. "It has lead to pins and needles in my hands and if I leave it the problem could spread to my legs. I need to be operated on and I don't know how long the recovery time will be, either post-operation or recovery."

Anceloltti insisted that he will meet with Galliani, but now his objective is to recover from this problem "whether that is in Madrid or in Canada. The last two years have been very tiring, with a lot of pressure and now I would like to return to Canada, with my wife and wait for the birth of my nephew."
