Bojan says there were "good moments and bad ones" under Guardiola

Bojan Krkic, who came through the youth system at Barcelona, spoke to EFE Radio about the moments which have marked his professional career.

Among them was his debut for Barça under Frank Rijkaard, who he considers his most special manager.

"He didn't just open the door to this world for me, but he also gave me a lot of confidence," Bojan said.

He was hardly 17 at that point in his career and would soon receive a lot of criticism for turning down the chance to play at the European Championships in 2008. Although, he says the information about that was incorrect.

"I had anxiety attacks," he revealed. "It was my first year, I was young and everything came really quickly.

"My body needed a little time to rest."

He also referenced some of his experiences with Pep Guardiola: "There are a lot of memories. Good ones and bad ones, but like with under any manager, they all get good conclusions."

On his new start in England, he said it was a risky move but that several factors helped him make his decision.

"I was influenced by the manager [Mark Hughes] and the chance to come and play in the Premier League," he continued.

"I'd spoke to a lot of friends who had followed Stoke last season [because of Muniesa]; they'd done well, played well and for all of that I decided to come here."

Asked about a Camp Nou return, Bojan didn't close any doors: "It's the place the where I grew, where they taught me everything and where I could enjoy four magnificent years.

"Now I am with another team, I am playing in a great league and I want to continue growing here as a player."
