Barça would need to come up with 40 million euros to sign Bellerin

To sign Arsenal's Hector Bellerin as a replacement for Dani Alves is more or less Mission Impossible. Robert Fernandez is monitoirng the young full-back's situation and he knows perfectly well that Arsene Wenger will not allow him to leave unless Barcelona come up with around 40 million euros.

Sporting director Robert, after talks with a coach inside Barça's La Masia, personally phoned Bellerin a few weeks ago. It was a courtesy call to talk about the player's intentions and to find out how things were progressing with regards to a new deal with Arsenal.

During the weeks that have followed, the Blaugrana have also learned of other European clubs interest in Bellerin should he become available. The season has hardly finished, but Barça know that Arsenal have refused to talk to clubs who are prepared to pay 25 million euros. The progression of Bellerin over the last 18 months has been brutal and, once again, Barça have arrived late.

Some clubs have shown a willingness to include players in a possible deal to reduce the cost. In this sense, Robert also knows the desires of Wenger. The French coach like Luis Suarez, Javier Mascherano and Ivan Rakitic, none of whom will form part of any deal. Other young players will not be used, either.
