Aston Villa among clubs interested in Catalan coach Oscar Garcia

Oscar Garcia, who recently won the Austrian league with Red Bull Salzburg, could leave the club this summer due to interest from various clubs. 

“I have one more year on my contract but in football you can never be certain about the future,” the Catalan coach admitted in an interview on Esport3, leaving the door open to a possible departure.

Aston Villa, who were recently relegated from the Premier League, and three other English Championship clubs have sounded out Oscar about a potential return to the United Kingdom. 

His name has also been linked with jobs in Spain’s top flight, while he has also received calls from clubs in Turkey and in Greece.

After a career spend playing for the likes of Barcelona, Valencia and Espanyol, Oscar has previously coached Maccabi Tel Aviv, Brighton and Watford.
