Arsene Wenger bars Spanish Arsenal players from interviews

Arsene Wenger is not happy with the performance of Arsenal in the previous few weeks. The team has dropped away from the top of the Premier League. The coach has taken the first internal measure to deal with it; preventing the Spanish players from conducting interviews and reports ahead of the Champions League clash with Barcelona.

The club have received a large list of requests from media interested in speaking to their players before the last 16 tie. However, Wenger wants to avoid any distractions before the game. So Bellerin, Cazorla, Arteta and Co are not allowed to speak to media before game. Nothing to say about Barcelona or the Premier League - Wenger only wants them to think about Arsenal.

In the previous four games they have drawn three and suffered a painful defeat at home against rivals Chelsea.
