Arsenal pushing on with plans to sign Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez

Arsenal want to sign Pedro Rodriguez. They have let FC Barcelona know, but the Catalan club have once again said 'no' to any deal.

Arsene Wenger's side have even talked to the player's representatives, according to The Independent, who also report that Arsenal are optimistic about a potential deal.

However, FC Barcelona see things very differently. Pedro only renewed his contract recently, is still a part of Luis Enrique's plans and Barça have commented that they are counting on him for next season.

Pedro himself, who has always been focused on Barcelona, has the confidence of his manager, Luis Enrique, and is happy to fight for minutes with Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.

His new deal at Camp Nou does not expire until the summer of 2019

Arsenal are not the only club interested in Pedro, whose minutes have dropped on the back of the form of Barça's front three. Several Premier League clubs and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested.
