Alex Song passes medical at West Ham for loan

Alex Song is set for a loan move to West Ham in the next few hours.

The Cameroonian centre-midfielder has passed his medical ahead of the operation.

Song has two years left on his contract at Barcelona but the coach, Luis Enrique, doesn't count on him for the new season. 

Barcelona are looking for an exit for him and he likes the Premier League, where he was loaned to West Ham to last year - and where he signed from, Arsenal.

West Ham are negotiating the terms of a new loan deal and is poised to put pen to paper for the Hammers.
