Barça's first dropped points not cause for concern

Atletico Madrid are a side you can always lose points again and in the end Barcelona dropped two. It doesn't matter, though, because the advantage gained in the first seven games was more than comfortable and these five points that Barça have on Real Madrid and the six they have on Atletico taste like glory. Would all Barça supporters not have signed up for this table before the season started? Well then... On top of that, the sensations were good. The second half saw Barça pin Atletico back in their area and they one more goal to round off a perfect start. Atletico, eh! Not just any team. It could have arrived when Lionel Messi hit the post or when Jan Oblak saved from Luis Suarez. It didn't arrive, but I think that the draw, due to the team's reaction and Ernesto Valverde's changes, which changed the game, leaves a good taste.

GOOD SENSATIONS

Barça are Barça and they have to be ambitious, though. The first half performance left a lot to be desired. In the same way that we've recognised Barça's second half chances, we also have to remember that in the first half Atletico forced Marc-Andre ter Stegen to show two times why he's one of the world's best goalkeepers. The beginning of the game needs to be analysed. Why was the team so poor? That's one of the keys Valverde will have to decipher. In my opinion, the midfield took too long to get going and Saul and Koke were on top. The surprise in the side was the inclusion of Andre Gomes, ahead of Paulinho, who for me is a signing for these games. Without the Brazilian, there's no athleticism, but as soon as Barça took control of the ball, there was only one team on the pitch. The reflection on the game is not negative. Barça dropped two points, yes, but they showed they are reliable and competitive.
