Ronaldo: Cristiano is unique but Messi provides more magic
The Brazil legend spoke ahead of the start of the World Cup
Ronaldo Nazario, winner of the World Cup in 1994 and 2002, has spoken about Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in an interview with Sport Bild.
In an honest interview, the former Real Madrid striker sided slightly with the Barcelona forward.
He said: "With his incredible attitude and his incredible winning mentality, Cristiano Ronaldo is a unique player, but I admit that Lionel Messi still adds more magic to football. With his dribbles, his complete way of playing the game, he always generate surprise situation in attacks."
The Brazil legend also referred to Cristiano Ronaldo and what his arrival in Madrid meant: "The best thing that could have happened was moving to Madrid. At Manchester United it was already incredible the number of goals he was scoring but in Real Madrid he's become even more complete."
Finally, Ronaldo spoke about the favourites for the World Cup. "Brazil can win it," he said. He also sees "Spain with a great team, Germany are always really strong, Argentina, too... and France have a young, talented side."
"El fenómeno", who has scored 15 World Cup goals, is the second top scorer in the competition behind Germany great Miroslav Klose (16).
