The 18 year old forward says Madrid is a move only to make for a player at the peak of their career

He recognised that a lot has been spoken about him recently but is trying not to lose his head

Kylian Mbappe, who made his full debut with France on Tuesday, was asked about Real Madrid’s interest in him, but he said Los Blancos are “for players at the peak of their careers and I’m not there yet”.

He explained: “Madrid? I’m at Monaco for now, we’re going bit by bit.

The player swapped shirts with Barcelona star Gerard Pique after Spain’s 2-0 win over France at the Parc des Princes.

He recognised that a lot has been spoken about him recently but is trying not to lose his head.

“I’ve received an education and I have people around me that help to keep my feet on the ground,” he explained.

“What I want is to play football, score goals, win games and titles, like the French league,” he explained.
