Barcelona target Marquinhos wants rapid PSG exit... but Manchester United are lurking

Brazilian defender Marquinhos wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain. He has not played much, with Thiago Silva and David Luiz ahead of him in the pecking order. He has been a Barcelona target in the past two summer markets and has issued instructions to his representative to get him an exit as quickly as possible.

Marquinhos wants to keep progressing and cannot do so at PSG. His agent, fellow Brazilian Giuliano Bertolucci, said on Le Parisien: "He wants to become the best defender in the world," adding that he "respects the decisions of the coach, Laurent Blanc, buts wants to play more than anything and not spend so much time on the bench."

Marquinhos wants to get into Brazil coach Dunga's plans ahead of the Copa America. However, he cannot play for Barcelona if signed until January 2016. There are other options though, with Manchester United and Italian clubs sniffing around. Bertolucci said: "We'll see what happens in June and how the president reacts, because there are several sides that want Marquinhos next season, including Manchester United."
