Barça looking to end PSG's 33-game unbeaten streak in European home matches

Paris Saint-Germain are on a run of 33 matches without losing a European game at the Parc des Princes

The last time they tasted defeat in a European fixture was in November 2006.

Since then, the Ligue 1 champions have recorded 22 victories and 11 draws as the home side against some of the continent's finest teams.

Barcelona, on Wednesday, have the chance to end this run and take a huge step towards a place in the semi-finals of the champions League.

Of PSG's 33 unbeaten matches, 19 have come in the Europa League (previously known as the UEFA Cup) and 14 in the Champions League.

Their last loss was 2-4 against Hapoel Tel Aviv on Nov. 23, 2006 in a UEFA Cup group game.

Barça have had two chances to end the run, but have not been able to do so.

They drew 2-2 at the Parc des Princes in 2012-13 and lost there 3-2 earlier this season.

Now they have the opportunity to make it third time lucky.

Other Spanish teams have also failed to win in the French capital, such as Racing Santander, Sevilla, Athletic and Valencia.
