Zinedine Zidane says he enjoyed his best night as a coach

Zinedine Zidane says he has enjoyed his best night as Real Madrid coach.

The Frenchman steered his side to a 3-0 win over Wolfsburg after losing the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against the Germans 2-0.

"We made it simple because we scored three times but it was not easy at all," he said.

"It was amazing after 2-0 in the first leg. The players played amazingly, so it is my best night as a coach -- so far, anyway."

Zidane thinks it's tougher to go through matches like this as a coach than as a player.

He explained: "I’ve lived football as a player, I know what it is like. I am now living it as a coach, which is much, much, much more difficult.

"I can't worry about what might happen. I have to focus on what we are doing. We have to be calm when this happens; you can’t go mad because all sorts of things happen in football."

One minor negative was his trousers wildly ripping after he turned away in frustration from a missed chance (see picture).
