Why was Real Madrid's Florentino Perez meeting with PSG in Qatar?

Qatar is gaining more and more prominence in the football world. The emergence of Sheikhs in and around the game has resulted in more and more representatives from Europe's biggest clubs travelling to the country. The most recent to do so has been Real Madrid president Florentino Perez

According to 'France Football', Perez was in Qatar on Saturday, where he had a meeting with the owners of Paris Saint-Germain to talk about various subjects.

One of the theories to emerge from this meeting is that he was talking about a possible deal for Cristiano Ronaldo to move to the French champions. With UEFA relaxing their Financial Fair Play rules, clubs like PSG and Manchester City can now make big moves in the transfer market once again.

Ronaldo has been wanted by PSG for seveal years and information has been leaked in recent months that Perez may now consider selling him. For that to happen, though, a big offer would have to arrive from the Ligue 1 club's Qatari owners.
