Vela returns to Real Sociedad training after Chris Brown concert controversy

Real Sociedad’s Mexican forward Carlos Vela returned to training on Thursday after being separated from Eusebio’s squad on Wednesday.

After various days of instability due to the ‘Vela Case’, Real Sociedad returned to normality on Thursday in a session behind closed doors at Zubieta.

And they trained with Vela back with the group after he had been cast aside the previous day.

Eusebio is due to appear in a press conference on Friday to talk about this weekend’s game with Celta Vigo, although it will surely turn into question and answer session about the Vela controversy.

The former Arsenal player missed training on Monday after travelling to Madrid to watch a Chris Brown concert.

When he missed his flight back on Monday, he phoned the club and claimed he had flu and would not be able to train.

However, photos emerged online of Vela at the concert, which is why he was not allowed to train with his team-mates on Wednesday.

It’s not yet been revealed the punishment he will suffer for his actions - be that financial or in terms of missing games.

Friday’s press conference may provide some answers.
