Valencia's loss to Deportivo leaves Barça as la Liga's only unbeaten side

Barcelona are the only team left in la Liga with an unbeaten record after Valencia came unstuck against Deportivo la Coruña on Sunday.

Los Che impressively beat Atletico Madrid before the international break, but Nuno Espírito Santo's side were unable to pick up where they left off two weeks ago.

Another three points for Valencia would have lifted them on to 20 points, just two off Barça, but instead they remain five back from the table toppers.

Few would argue it was a deserved win for Depor, who began the match with just four points from their opening seven fixtures.

It took a bit of luck for them to open the scoring, though.

Valencia failed to deal with a corner and the ball eventually found it's way over the line, just, with Jose Gaya finally credited with an own goal.

Lucas Perez's superb shot from the left side of the penalty area made it 2-0 before half time.

With the visiting side hunting a way back into the game in the second half, they were stung on the break.

Jose Verdu Toche was allowed a free run on goaland he fired past Yoel.

With eight games gone in la Liga, everyone has now tasted defeat. Everyone, that is, except Luis Enrique's Barcelona.
