Valencia star Jose Luis Gaya is on Real Madrid's menu next summer

Valencia left-back Jose Luis Gaya, 19, has been one of the revelations of the la Liga season so far, even if we are only in the month in January. His impact has been so impressive that he has caught the attention of Real Madrid, who are lining him up for next season.

According to 'El Partido de las 12' on Cadena COPA, Florentino Perez has already begun conversations with Jorge Mendes with the hope of finding a home for Fabio Coentrao, who is represented by the Portuguese super-agent.

This would allow Los Blancos to make a move for Gaya, who currently has a release clause of €18million.

It seems that Madrid are already in agreement at all levels to pay the buyout for the Los Che youngster, who they see as a sure bet for the future — as was the case with Sergio Ramos in 2005 and Raphael Varane three years ago.

Gaya, who plays for Spain U21s, may be included in Vicente del Bosque's next Spain squad.

However, in Valencia they don't want to lose another product of their academy and, as they have done with Paco Alcacer this week, they have plans to talk to negotiate a new deal with the player's agent as soon as possible in a bid to increase his release clause and improve his salary.

In any case, the cited media say Madrid will not be the only club sniffing around this summer. Gaya's form has alerted many of Europe's biggest clubs, all of whom are impressed by his potential.
