Valdano: Cristiano Ronaldo is "playing under protest"

Former Real Madrid chief Jorge Valdano says Cristiano Ronaldo is not comfortable at Real Madrid at the moment.

"Ronaldo would prefer to be playing out on the left like he's always done," he explained to Cadena SER.

"It's hard to know if it's because he's not scoring, or his position, but he's not enjoying playing at the moment. He's playing under protest."

Ronaldo has been off form this season. If you ignore his five goals in one game against Espanyol, he has eight goals in 15 games, which for him is below par. He didn't score against PSG in either of Madrid's two Champions League clashes, nor at Sevilla or against Atletico Madrid.
