Unai Emery beats Barcelona for first ever time as a manager

Unai Emery broke his duck against Barcelona as Sevilla beat the Catalan side 2-1 at the Sanchez Pizjuan on Saturday.

Second half goals from Michael Krohn-Dehli and Vicente Iborra helped the home side into a two-goal lead, with Neymar's penalty not enough to force Barça back into the game.

It was the first time Emery, who was previously in charge of Almeria, Valencia and Spartak Moscow, has ever beaten Barcelona in his career as a manager.

Before Saturday, he had tried on 20 occasions and come up short every time -- drawing six games and losing 14.

In the league, he had faced them 15 times and lost 10 of those meetings, with the other five ending as draws.

However, in his 21st game as a manager against Barcelona, he at last came up with the goods.
