The 11 players Florentino Perez would love at Real Madrid

Florentino Perez remains determined to end Barcelona’s domination in Spain once and for all.

The Real Madrid president is already thinking about his next project which will kick on in the summer with his new coach, Zinedine Zidane. For that reason, he has a huge list of signings that he is dreaming of making to help the French coach succeed in his first top level management job.

Aware that signing Neymar is almost impossible, Perez has concentrated his efforts on Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowksi, while Zidane is focused on his French compatriot Paul Pogba.

But if Real Madrid ended up signing all the players they are interested in and have been linked with - which, of course, will not happen - they could in theory field a whole new starting line-up.

It would be David De Gea (Manchester United) in goal, with a back four of Alberto Moreno (Liverpool), Aymeric Laporte (Athletic Club), John Stones (Everton), and David Alaba (Bayern Munich).  They’ve been linked with two left-backs in Moreno and Alaba, while they already have Danilo and Dani Carvajal on the right.

In midfield, they could potentially make moves for one or both of Marco Verratti (Paris Saint-Germain) and Paul Pogba (Juventus), while further forward Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund), Neymar (FC Barcelona), Eden Hazard (Chelsea) and Lewandowski (Bayern Munich) are all targets.

The problem is that Perez doesn’t have enough money to push on with an overhaul of such drastic measures, while there remains players in the current squad who will obviously be part of the club’s next steps. To sign all the players above, though, would cost around 700 million euros. That doesn’t mean all these players should ruled out, of course.

All this also depends on whether the club are hit with a transfer ban. It has been parked for now, but they could yet still end up unable to sign players.
