Syrian refugee Zaid enters Bernabeu pitch with Ronaldo

Zaid Abdul, a Syrian refugee, fulfilled a dream on Saturday when he entered the Bernabeu pitch dressed in a Real Madrid kit alongside Cristiano Ronaldo before Los Blancos's match with Granada.

Zaid was one of the children who each football player walks on to the pitch with, before posing for a photo. At all moments, Ronaldo stayed by the young Syrian's side. Zaid also spent Friday, with his father (Osama Abdul Mohsen) and his brother (Mohammad), at Madrid's training ground meeting the squad.

There he posed for photos with Ronaldo, but also with Pepe, Kiko Casilla, Denis Cheryshev, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Lucas Vazquez.

On Thursday, Osama Abdul Mohsen and his children visited the stadium for a tour, were they met Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. Osama was the refugee who was infamously kicked by a journalist at the Serbia-Hungary border when he was trying to change countries.
