Sergio Ramos cautions Cristiano Ronaldo for stepping out of line

Sergio Ramos, the second captain of Real Madrid, reminded Cristiano Ronaldo that he should follow the club line.

The Portuguese had spoken out after his friend Angel Di Maria was sold this summer, along with Xabi Alonso

But Ramos said: "Everyone will have their opinion and I respect that and I will not go to evaluate Ronaldo or any other player. We belong to the club and we must abide by the laws of the club.

"My opinion I will keep to myself, now is not the time to draw conclusions," he said as he arrived at the Spain training camp.

Ronaldo had said, about president Florentino Perez's transfer dealings: "I have a clear opinion, but I can't always say what I think. If I do say what I think, tomorrow I would be on the front of the papers and I don't want that.

"If I was in charge, I would not do it like this, but everyone has their opinion and is free to say what they think.

"If the president thinks that it is best for the team to sign certain players and to let others leave, you must respect those decisions and support them."

With key players leaving, the Portuguese forward expected the style of Carlo Ancelotti's team to change.

"With the new players the way we play will change," he continued.

"It could be for the better, it could be for the worse. I hope it will be for the better because they are players of a really good level. The norm would be for them to adapt well.

"Di Maria and Xabi were very important for us but they are gone and we have to be happy with the new signings. I am sure we will be fine."
