Ronaldo has lost faith in Real Madrid's medical department

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has lost faith in the club’s medical staff. The relapse of the injury he suffered against Villarreal in Monday’s training session at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium has proved the straw which broke the camel’s back.

Ronaldo has decided to ditch Madrid’s medics, according to Diario AS, and instead has but his injury in the hands of the the physiotherapist Joaquin Juan - who works with basketball star Pau Gasol - in a bid to be fit for the Champions League semi-final second leg against City next Wednesday.

The Portuguese international, who is likely to miss the league game against Real Sociedad on Saturday, is fed up of the medical services at Madrid - as many other players have been, too - which are headed by Jesus Olmo.

Ronaldo does not want to miss the game against City and for that reason it’s reported Joaquin Juan will apply a stem cell treatment in a bid to get him fit in time. However, that won’t eliminate the risk of a possible relapse.
