Real Sociedad hoping to bring Illarramendi back from Real Madrid

Florentino Perez met with Jokin Aperribay this weekend to negotiate Asier Illarramendi's return to Real Sociedad, with the player now needing to give his OK. 

It seems like the soap opera surrounding the midfielder's future is about to come to an end. 

Illarramendi could leave Madrid in the next few days and return to San Sebastian on loan after an agreement was reached between the two clubs. 

The player now just needs to agree to returning home and linking up with David Moyes's side. 

Mateo Kovacic's signing last week closed the door on any slim hopes Illarramendi had of forcing his way into Rafa Benitez's plans. 

Aperribay is keep to get the operation over the line because of the interest from Premier League side Liverpool.
