Real Madrid's Denis Cheryshev wanted by Valencia

The future of Denis Cheryshev looks like it will lie away from Real Madrid. The Russian winger has been rarely used by Rafa Benitez, playing just 14 of the 630 available so far (out of six league and one Champions League game). Valencia could be his destination when the winter transfer window opens.

Cheryshev, to date, only featured in the match against Granada (1-0 at the Bernabeu), coming on for Karim Benzema for 14 minutes.

The Real Madrid star was not included in the squad for the first three league games, but has been after that. Not through Benitez's choice - but because of injuries to the likes of James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale, Danilo, Sergio Ramos and Pepe.

When Jese was injured against Malaga, Benitez chose to bring on Mateo Kovacic instead of the wide man.

Other teams, like Sevilla, Liverpool and Zenit, also want the Russian, who is hoping to be part of his country's team for Euro 2016.
