Real Madrid wonder if Bernabeu grass is Bale's injury catalyst

Real Madrid have found an explanation for the frequent injuries Gareth Bale suffers.

According to SportYou, Madrid suspect the grass at the Santiago Bernabeu is the problem.

They use a new, pioneering system imported from Milan lat summer, and according to sources at Madrid, they believe it has been causing the player to relapse.

This season, Bale has always been injured at the Santiago Bernabeu, bar one incident with Alvaro Arbeloa, where he was injured at Valdebebas.

The latest problem has caused him to miss two La Liga games.

Madrid changed the grass at the Bernabeu in the summer, taking a new type from Italy, brought in 23 parts, adding up to a total of 8,500 square metres. This is a hybrid turf, with an artificial base on top of which grass is grown naturally. This helps drainage and avoids poor support for the footballers.

However, the system doesn't seem to be treating Bale's muscles well. They are studying the relationship between his musculature, supports and the compoisiton of the grass.

Bale has already stopped driving Lamborghinis, because of muscle pain in his legs.
