Real Madrid will not be signing Lucas Silva in January, claims Florentino Perez

Lucas Silva will not be joining Real Madrid in January according to president Florentino Perez.

He told Cadener Ser: "Unless there are extraordinary circumstances, we will not bring reinforcements in the winter transfer market. Right now there are none.

"If Lucas Silva has to come, it will be in the summer under normal circumstances."

Madrid want to bring the €15million Cruzeiro midfielder to the Santiago Bernabeu and they have been linked with him in recent weeks on the front pages of the city's newspapers.

Los Blancos are currently in Morrocco, to play in the Club World Cup final on Saturday.
