Real Madrid seriously considering James Rodriguez sale

Real Madrid are seriously considering James Rodriguez's continuity in the first team squad. The Colombian is not having a good second season at the club and the coaches want him to show a reaction in the months that remain of the 2015-16 season.

James was one of Madrid's big signings after his excellent showing at the World Cup in 2014 in Brazil. His first campaign at Los Blancos, under Carlo Ancelotti, left the fans satisfied, but the arrival of Rafa Benitez, who replaced Ancelotti, brought problems which hadn't been seen last season.

The clashes between the player and Benitez provoked a debate and increased the hostility from the squad towards their coach, despite the fact James wasn't entirely incident. Nights out and other factors had led to his dip in form.

No-one doubts James' ability, but Madrid do not want a repeat of the Mesut Ozil case. The German was never able to regularly offer his best form and ended up being sold to Arsenal. For that reason, they are unlikely to show as much patience to James as they did to Ozil, having been in the situation before.

It has not gone down well with Perez, either, that the 24-year-old already feels he should be on a better salary. The debate between who should start out of Isco and James is alive at the club and only injuries to Gareth Bale have provided short-term answers - although neither shone at Granada.

In any case, it's well known how happy Perez is to move in the market, be that buying or selling players. And in 2016, with the threat of a transfer ban from FIFA, it will not be any different. James' future is in danger is he doesn't change his performances.
