Real Madrid present new €80m signing James Rodriguez

James Rodriguez is now a Real Madird player, becoming the third most expensive player in their history at €80million, plus various bonuses.

The former Monaco player has been added to an already crowded attack featuring the top two players, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Last season Real Madrid splashed out €70m on Isco and Asier Illarramendi but neither featured much. 

James landed in Madrid on Monday and was presented at 8pm on Tuesday night. A pitch invader ran on and was escorted away, but the other thousands of people there to greet him were welll behaved. 

"Thanks to those who are here. I hope to give much happiness and win many titles here. Hala Madrid," he said.

He will be allowed to continue his holidays until August 1 after the presentation, upon when he will join the club's American tour.
