Real Madrid make their move for Juve & Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal

Argentine agent Fernando Felicevich and Real Madrid's director general, Jose Angel Sanchez, are hoping to close the final details on a deal to take Arturo Vidal to the La Liga club.

Talks have progressed over recent days. The 28-year-old has already agreed a five-year deal with Madrid; now the club will try and reduce the 30 million euros which Juventus are asking for, taking advantage of the controversy which has surrounded the player following his drink driving antics while with Chile at the Copa America.

Arturo Vidal has been asked for by Rafa Benitez and Florentino Perez has given his seal of approval to the deal, too. The Chilean has the profile the Madrid coach is looking for: A player with good technique, character, a strong physique and expeirence, while not needing a lot of time to adapt to la Liga.

The player did have a deal closed with Arsenal. His agent has been negotiationg for him while he's at the Copa America, where he will take part in Saturday's final against Argentina. Madrid is Vidal's preferred destination, though.
