Real Madrid to make move for Leicester star Mahrez?
Even though Leicester City have said actively and passively that they want to maintain all the members of their title winning squad for next season, it’s still not clear if one of their big stars, Riyad Mahrez, will continue at the King Power Stadium.
The 25-year-old, who was named the best player in the Premier League this season, has been linked with various clubs. He has a contract until 2019 and Leicester have offered him the chance to renew, although there’s still nothing concrete.
A while back he was linked with Barcelona and even Xavi praised him, but now he’s been linked with Real Madrid. At least that is what the French press say, in concrete ‘France Football’, who are often well informed on the transfer market.
Until now, various English clubs have been said to have interest - Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal - as well as Paris Saint-Germain. The French publication, though, says Madrid’s interest is firm and that the club will soon begin talks with the Foxes to make an offer.
