Real Madrid fans appear divided on Iker Casillas before Basel clash
Iker Casillas, whistled during Real Madrid's derby defeat to Atletico Madrid on Saturday evening, was both applauded and whistled equally by the fans at the Bernabeu when his name was read out before Tuesday's Champions League match with Basel.
Ten minutes before kick off, with most of the fans in the stadium, was when it was best to judge what sort of reaction the goalkeeper received.
And when 'Casillas' sounded out over the megaphone, there was division among the Madrid fans with opinions seemingly split on the Spanish stopper.
It wasn't the same for Karim Benzema, however.
The French striker was unaminously booed by the home fans. Benzema's performances in recent matches have not set the world on fire and the supporters in the Spanish capital are growing tired of their No. 9.
