Real Madrid deny any interest in Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba

Summer has hardly even begun and Paul Pogba's name is already one of the most talked about names in Europe. One of the clubs hoping to sign him is Real Madrid

Earlier this week, Italian newspaper 'La Stampa' claimed that Los Blancos had made an offer for the Juventus midfielder, which included a five-year contract at 10 million euros per season.

Madrid, though, have released a statement denying their interest n Pogba and calling the reports "absolutely false."

"In light of the information published in the Italian newspaper 'La Stampa' about an offer from Real Madrid for the player Paul Pogba, the club insist: Real Madrid have not had contact with Juventus nor the player's representatives, therefore the information is absolutely false," the statement read.

If true, it would leave Barça, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain as the clubs best positioned to sign the French international.
