Real Madrid are preparing an excuse so they don't have to host the Copa del Rey final

Real Madrid have no intention of letting their Santiago Bernabeu stadium be used to host the final of the Copa del Rey on May 30.

They are looking for excuses to reject the proposal which is heading their way from the Spanish federation.

Diario AS has explained that the club were thinking of using their B team, Castilla, as an excuse for not allowing the final to take place there.

The B side may have to play a play-off match to reach the second division on that date.

However, Cadena Ser say that the club might not even use this argument and simply say that they don't want to host finals there.

Valencia have offered their ground and that seems the most likely location, given that Barcelona and Athletic would both accept it.
