Real Madrid and Man Utd head the queue for Sevilla's Monchi

After it was revealed that Monchi is set to leave Sevilla, the speculation surrounding his future has began.

Half of Europe would love to have the services of Sevilla’s sporting director, who caught the club off guard with his decision to leave on Monday, 16 years after he re-joined in a non-playing capacity.

One of the clubs who have been interested in him for a long time is Real Madrid. Florentino Perez doesn’t have a sporting director and on several occasions he’s tried to tempt Monchi to the Spanish capital, always receiving a negative response.

In the Premier League there is also plenty of interest in the man responsible for the signings of players such as Dani Alves, Ivan Rakitic and Carlos Bacca. Manchester United, who have recently appointed Jose Mourinho as manager, are linked. They were keen on Andrea Berti, who is second in command to Caminero at Atletico, but they may now have changed their focus.

However, in quotes to Cadena COPE, where he confirmed his exit from Sevilla, Monchi himself denied receiving any offers for the moment.
