Sergio Ramos: We all know what Pique's like, we can't change that now

Spain duo Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos have been speaking ahead of this week's qualifier with Macedonia. Of course, the main source of questioning focused around the whistling and jeering of Gerard Pique during Saturday's win over Slovakia. Here is what the two players had to say:

Casillas: We have spoke with [Pique]. Nobody likes the whistling of a teammate. We hope that people forget this matter and a solution is found as soon as possible. Everyone wants the best for the national team. If Pique wears the shirt, it's because he wants to be with Spain. We all represent this country, we want the common good and we want to do as well as possible.

Ramos: We all know what Pique's like, we can't change that now and there's no point entering into whether he's always acted the right way. Here we are Spain and we represent a country. The jeers don't benefit anyone. We come to play for the national team to do as well as possible -- the less said about this subject the better.
