Perez has put a 200 million euro price tag on Real Madrid's shirt

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wants to exploit the club’s 11th Champions League win to the maximum.

For now, the title has actually cost the club money due to the money they have had to pay to the squad in bonuses.

However, as the experienced business man that he is, Perez is ready to look for the maximum possible economic return on the back of Los Blancos’ success, starting with the exploitation of the shirt.

Madrid are currently negotiating a new deal with Adidas. The backdrop to those talks is that Barcelona agreed a 105 million euro per season deal with Nike a few weeks ago, making them the highest paid football club in the world with regards to kit suppliers.

The objective of Perez is not just to take that record away from Barça, but to break the market. According to the specialist website Marketing Deportivo, Madrid have put a price on their shirt: 200 million euros annually (150 million minimum with the rest made up in variables).

As said, Madrid are in talks with Adidas, but if the German brand do not meet the club’s expectations, they have not ruled out pulling out of their deal and selling to the highest bidder.

In this context, just a few days ago it was revealed that Adidas were not happy with Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration in the Champions League final, when he took his shirt off after scoring the winning penalty.
