Pep Guardiola set to leave Barça without Celta Vigo forward Nolito

Luis Enrique is close to being left without the reinforcement for the front line that he desired: Nolito. The Celta forward is close to agreeing a transfer to Manchester City, who have moved ahead in the race for his signature, and have made a succulent three-year offer with a fourth optional.

The details were revealed by 'Televisio de Catalunya'. According to the report, only the agreement with Celta would be lacking. The first offer from City totalled 15 million euros, five less than the figure requested by the club from Vigo.

FC Barcelona had the opportunity to bring Nolito back for 18 million euros, but they were not decisive, neither in the winter transfer window nor now. Despite the recent public comments from Barça players in the Spain camp, pushing for the club to recover the forward, this pressure has not paid off and Nolito has tired of waiting.

Since the beginning of Euro 2016, Nolito has hinted that he awaited for the Catalan club to firm their interest, but the intrusion of Manchester City has left the player in no doubt.

Nolito played under Pep Guardiola for Barça B and achieved promotion to Second Division B with him. Later he appeared in the first team under the coach, but had to leave as he was not able to maintain a regular first team squad place.
